Creating New Business When the World is Falling Apart

Recently I remote graphic recorded a panel discussion for the AMP Music Summit titled: "Creating New Business When The World Is Falling Apart".

Although the panelists were speaking directly to artists and producers in the music industry, the ideas they shared apply to any creative person (which in my opinion is everyone).

Since their words inspired me to shift my own thinking, I'd like to share my top 5 takeaways in hopes they'll inspire you too.

  1. This is an amazing time for invention - embrace it.

  2. Networking is everything right now.  People are more available and willing to collaborate, so reach out and pick up the phone.

  3. Use this time to dream big and reimagine what your work can look like.

  4. Marketers are looking for new ways to engage and places to invest, so think like an entrepreneur and get your ideas out there now.

  5. People have always looked to the creative economy to solve problems, so lean into your passions and create new work.

My heartfelt thanks to panelists: Boris Patronoff, See Tickets N. America, Andrew Goldstone YMU Group, James Andrews, The Authenticated, for your words of wisdom and inspiration.
