I recently graphic recorded a workshop where I was reminded of this great Einstein quote "If you can't explain it to a six-year-old you don't understand it yourself".

In my job it's crucial that I understand what is being said so I can quickly synthesize and draw it.

What I've seen is that most times speakers do understand what they're saying, but they forget to use common language, which may unintentionally alienate their audience.

The best speakers tell good stories, pulling their audience in through empathy and understanding.  And most importantly by using common language that a six-year-old could understand and remember.

If you're planning to have a graphic recorder at your next event, consider starting that partnership early in the design phase.  We hear so many different presentations across multiple sectors that we can be great sounding boards in the process.

So please feel free to reach out as you're designing your event. I will always make time for a chat!
